Day 1 Benvenuti a Roma

Arrival at the hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 Imperial Rome

Breakfast. Morning private guided walking tour of the Eternal City including the Coliseum, the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona with its beautiful neoclassical architecture. Free time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Welcome dinner and overnight.

Day 3 Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel

Breakfast. Discover one of the most beautiful sites in the world on the private guided tour of the Vatican Museums, St Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. Free time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure to pursue your own passions. Overnight.

Day 4 Immortalized Pompeii and on to Sorrento

Breakfast and departure from Rome for your next destination: Sorrento, sitting on a cliff, with gorgeous views of the Bay of Naples and, on clear days, Capri. En route stop for a guided visit to the ancient city of Pompeii, frozen in time after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79 immortalized the prosperous town for eternity. Then on to Sorrento, check in at the hotel. Enjoy some free time to explore the town’s cobblestone streets, its seafront promenade and have dinner on your own. Overnight.

Day 5 Dramatic panorama’s on the Amalfi Coast and stunning views in Ravello

Breakfast. Today discover the Amalfi Coast, one of Europe’s most dramatic shorelines, on a full day excursion. See the brightly coloured houses set on towering cliffs above the sea, and the houses in the town of Amalfi built between the 10th and 13th centuries. Then it’s on to Ravello, with its stupendous views on the coast. Visit the exquisite gardens of Villa Rufolo, the former residence of several popes. Enjoy your lunch of delightful homemade dishes at a family-owned restaurant. Return to Sorrento for a truly magical evening with dinner at the Teatro Tasso to enjoy the tradition of two centuries of Neapolitan dances and costumes.

Day 6 Scenic Capri

Breakfast. Enjoy a full day excursion to the bustling and scenic Island of Capri. The tour starts with a boat tour of the island, then continues with a walking tour of the Piazzetta and the Gardens of Augustus. Free time for lunch. In the main square, Piazza Umberto, you’ll find a pretty white church and several open-air cafes where you can sit and watch the world drift by. Leading off the square are medieval looking alleyways and arcades full of shops selling the island’s handicrafts such as clothing, coral and gold jewellery, shoes and ceramics. Admire the colourful gardens of Augustus overlooking the famed Faraglioni Rocks and Marina Piccola. The tour ends with a visit to the breathtaking Villa Lysis! Return to Sorrento.

Day 7 Mozzarella cheese and pizza in delicious Naples

Breakfast. Departure to Naples, one of Italy’s epicurean heavyweights serving up the country’s best pizza, pasta and coffee. En route enjoy a visit to a local mozzarella cheese facility. Arrival and lunch in a typical Napoletanean pizzeria. In the afternoon private guided walking tour of Spaccanapoli, main street of Naples where you will admire the cities highlights. Overnight.
